The Yari For Tinubu (YFT 2027) Presidential Campaign Organization (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your personal privacy and is committed to protecting your personal and sensitive data. This Privacy Policy sets forth our ongoing legal obligations to you regarding the collection, use, processing, storage, and deletion of your Personal Information in full compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023) and international standards including the Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Guideline 5.1.1).

1 What Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you when you register through our official iOS Mobile Application, Android Application, or our Web Portal at https://yft.com.ng. The categories of information collected include:

  • Personal Identity Data: Full Name (First Name, Surname, Other Name), Gender, Age bracket.
  • Contact Credentials: Mobile Phone Number, Email Address (optional), Residential Street Address.
  • Electoral Jurisdiction Data: State of Voting, Local Government Area (LGA), Electoral Ward, and Polling Unit name/number.
  • Electoral Status (Sensitive Data): Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) possession status, Voter Identification Number (VIN / Voter ID, if provided), and Supporter Coalition Wing (e.g. Youth Wing, Women Wing, Artisans).
  • Member Photograph (Optional): Portrait photograph captured via camera or selected from device photo library for the generation of your verified YFT Digital Membership Slip.

2 Device Permissions (Camera & Photo Library)

In compliance with Apple App Store policies:

• Camera Access (NSCameraUsageDescription): Our mobile application may request access to your device camera strictly and solely to allow you to take a live portrait photograph for your digital membership card.

• Photo Library Access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): Our mobile application may request access to your photo gallery strictly to permit you to select an existing portrait photo for your membership profile.

Camera and photo library access are completely optional; members may proceed with registration and digital card generation without uploading a photograph.

3 Why We Collect Your Information (Purpose)

Your personal information is collected exclusively for lawful, democratic campaign mobilization purposes:

  • To verify authentic, voluntary grassroots supporters of the Yari For Tinubu (YFT 2027) Movement.
  • To generate and issue your verifiable YFT Digital Membership Slip & Member ID.
  • To align you with your respective State, LGA, and Ward campaign coordinators for local democratic participation.
  • To send critical electioneering updates, polling location notifications, voter education resources, and campaign news regarding the All Progressives Congress (APC).

4 Non-Disclosure & Third-Party Protection

Zero Commercialization Guarantee: We do NOT sell, lease, rent, trade, or monetize your Personal Information to advertisers, data brokers, or commercial third parties under any circumstances.

Your information may be disclosed only to accredited zonal, state, and ward coordinators under strict non-disclosure obligations, and to trusted technology providers (e.g. cloud servers and bulk communication gateways) operating under binding data protection agreements.

5 Account Deletion & Data Removal Rights

In compliance with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and the NDPA 2023, you have the full right to delete your profile and revoke your membership at any time:

How to Request Account & Data Deletion:

1. Send an email from your registered email address or citing your registered phone number to: privacy@yft.com.ng with the subject line “Delete My YFT Account”.

2. Alternatively, contact your accredited LGA or State Coordinator with your Member ID requesting formal deregistration.

3. Upon receipt of your request, our data compliance team will permanently delete or de-identify your personal record, passport photograph, and credentials from our active database within 14 calendar days, and confirm completion via SMS or email.

6 Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your personal information is hosted in secure, ISO-certified data centers utilizing 256-bit SSL encryption, database access firewalls, and role-based administrative permissions. When the 2027 electoral campaign cycle concludes, data will be safely archived or destroyed in accordance with Nigerian national archiving standards.

7 Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect statutory updates from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) or Apple Developer guidelines. The current revision will always be accessible at https://yft.com.ng/privacy-policy.html.
